William was born April 3rd, 1911, in Tropic, Utah, to William John and Matilda Ann. He was 1 of 12 children.

On January 13, 1942, he married Marian Dalley Winters in the St. George LDS Temple. They had five sons and two daughters.

He was a farmer and a former employee of the US Forest Service.

He passed away on March 14th, 1981. At his passing, he had 30 grandchildren.

He is buried in Tropic Cemetery.
